A note for Sheebe:
Why do you have to pay a tax on federal income when you do not work for the federal government? The tax is on federal income.
Have you read the Constitution and understood it when it speaks about taxation? Read Article 1, section2 clause 3, section 9, clause 4, and see that there can be no direct tax on your earnings without apportionment.
Go to your public library and look at a copy of the Internal Revenue Code and read or thumb through subtitle "A" which consists of 1,563 code sections and find just one code section that makes you liable for the federal income tax. I can assure you, you will not find it because even the IRS can't find one.
The federal income tax you have been paying over to the IRS has been a gift. Signing a 1040 form under penalties of perjury has caused you to commit a crime. Yep, you have lied to the IRS that you have federal income and that it was taxable. Don't worry about committing the crime though unless you make a big enough mistake because only then will the IRS think that you were trying to evade some tax and now they have your approval to criminally prosecute you for your efforts of trying to file a 1040 statement to the best of your belief that it is a true assessment. Please note, unless you are federally employed there is no "return" to be filed. As an employee of a private employer (nongovernment) you are not receiving federal income and nothing is needed to be returned to the government. A "Return" is a form of "Kickback" that is being paid back to the government for the privilege of having employment with the federal government.
Tell everyone you know about this good news. When you have some free time, call your local IRS office and ask them to tell you where in subtitle "A" does it specifically say by expression that you are liable for the income tax. You can quote back to them that only one section in subtitle "A" of the IRC makes a withholding agent (government employer) liable for collecting tax on nonresident aliens and foreign corporations, and that is section 1461.
Best wishes Sheebe
It all comes down to this, you need to get educated on the taxing laws. What you don't know, can hurt you and hurt you big time. Knowing that you are not a recipient of federal income from your private employer should tell you that you owe the federal government nothing in the way of a tax on your private earnings. There is no law requiring you to perjure youself on any government forms. The 1040 Form is now history if you have learned anything I have showed you here.
The economy will explode over night when citizens realize that they have nothing to do with federal income taxes if they are not federally employed, and take the money they have been giving away and spend it or invest it.
According to subtitle "A" and subtitle "C" of the Internal Revenue Code, only federal government persons are liable for any federal income taxes.
How do you spell relief? Federalincometaxfree!
